Where did these pages descend from?

These pages were written (yes, you've got it!) by myself, during charming summer evenings in the jubilee year 2000. A not-so-minor but still rather technical refurbishment was accomplished in spring 2003. Some really minor amendments and additions are being incorporated continuously, as the time goes on. I wrote these pages in spite of the fact that I knew pretty well that hardly anyone would visit them and yet even fewer people would actually try to read their content. So as a whole, this website is nothing else then just another monument to male vanity.

Yes, I know I look ridiculous - but tell me honestly: Don't you in fact feel happier now, having learnt that yet another vain, self-important and pompous guy exists out there? Don't you feel relieved that it is someone else than you who is that stupid?

You don't have to apologize for your feelings. Indeed, I myself really hate meeting clever, competent, handy and good-looking people. I feel so depressed in their presence. The reality is that who really cares about the well-being of his fellow citizens (or "neighbors" if you prefer the gospel-speak), does not conceal his stupidity. Hence, by displaying these pages, I am trying to set a precedent in this new blend of charity.

Just great. The best pages on earth I've ever seen. Worth a medal... Wow, you've hit just the right point! I just added this page to my favourites/bookmarks. Er... I am still thinking about the best reaction to your pages. Frankly, your pages are loading too slowly. To keep it short - I don't like it! Awfull! I am never going to visit this page any more.

And last but not least: Do you think my pages are generally too static? If yes - I wonder whether you would prefer them this way. (You did not notice anything? Well, then you have configured your browser so that javascript cannot move your window. Like I have done it.)
